St. Vincent de Paul Society

The mission of the St. Thomas Conference of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society is to help the poor and our neighbors who are in temporary need.  We are a person-to-person ministry that works directly with the poor here in our own parish boundaries.  We help families and individuals on limited income, frequently in poor health, who may be having difficulty paying for rent, utilities, prescriptions, transportation, gas, and even food.

We are in urgent need of new volunteers who will consider becoming a Vincentian member and help those in need. You can make a difference!  Our greatest need is for individuals to deal directly with those seeking our help.

If you are interested in serving, please contact Rich Kopicki 352-476-9020 or Joe Ryan 352-382-0441. You can also get to know us by attending our next meeting held right here at St. Thomas Church on Wednesday evening, December 5th at 7PM.

Our meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month from September through June.
